New public engagements to strengthen draft K-6 curriculum

K-6 Curriculum Engagement

Alberta Education announced more information on the draft K-6 curriculum. As part of the announcement, new details were provided to offer the community options to receive information and provide feedback. As always, we encourage you to participate in this process.

There is a virtual information session on Thursday, February 8 from 7-8:15pm. You can register here

Virtual engagement sessions will run from January 31 to February 28 to collect additional feedback on the curriculum. Each session will focus on a draft subject area or the new Social Studies Blueprint. Registration information is here

The online survey is open until the end of February. Here is the link to the survey

For our part, we have encouraged our teachers and learning community to provide their voices of expertise. Additionally, we will be providing feedback directly through ASBA (Alberta School Boards Association) and CASS (College of Alberta School Superintendents).

Thank you for all you continue to do in support of our students and our teaching community.
