School Council

School Council

All of the parents and staff of Heritage Heights School are members of the School Council (HHSC).  Each October, members are elected or appointed at the joint School Council / Parent Association General Meeting.   Six (6) parents are elected; the school principal, vice principal and one (1) staff member also serve.

School council meets monthly during the school year.  All members are invited to attend these meetings. Meeting dates are listed here and also announced in the school newsletter and posted on the notice board.

HHSC’s purpose is to work co-operatively together to support and enhance student learning at Heritage Heights.  Council assists in long term planning initiatives for the school and school policy issues. HHSC also serves as a liaison between parents, the Foothills School Division and Alberta Learning, ensuring everyone has a means of participating in decisions that affect our students.
