Dear Panther Families, Parents and Students,

Timing is everything in life. I have been blessed to be a part of your children’s lives for the past 12 years as the Principal of École Percy Pegler School. An incredible opportunity to become a part of the greater Foothills Divisional Team as the Director of Student Learning K-6 opened, and I successfully walked through the door. I am so grateful for my time at EPPS.

I believe that the saying, everything I learned in Kindergarten should really have read, “Everything I learned, I learned at École Percy Pegler School.” My journey at EPPS has been the most incredible experience possible. Our whole community including parents, teachers and students are so connected and all share the same principles of being a great citizen. We all know that being honest creates the best relationships and friendships and that making mistakes is good and leads to the best growth opportunities. At EPPS we know that together we are safe and cared about. We can give our respectful voice to be heard and make changes that will help EPPS be the best learning and growing environment possible. All of these things I have learned from the people that I have encountered along the way at EPPS. I am proud of our community and the core of who we are, and what we believe is driven by such a clear purpose, that what we have will be sustainable.

I will always remember to be a Pawsitive, Prepared, Participant as I move into my next role. The life lessons and experiences have shaped and prepared me for this next adventure. Again, timing is everything, and although not on my side in this endeavour, as I have not had a chance to bring closure with our Panther students which is very important to me. Both Mrs. Rona Reid and Mrs. Allison Stewart are friends and close colleagues. They know that I will be back around the time of start-up to connect with you all and help transition everyone into this upcoming year. You are all in great hands, of that I can assure you. Please know that a fresh new team with a strong philosophical conviction of doing what is right for kids is a great thing!

Your new team will be wonderfully supportive and ready for some amazing adventures in learning this upcoming year. Here they are!

As I leave EPPS, the memories, relationships and friendships will continue to1657048739653.jpegRona Reid -Principal, Sharon Rae – Family School Liaison Counselor, Coralee Legault – Learning Coach and Allison Stewart, Vice Principal be a great part of my life and I thank you for every moment we have had together creating such an incredible school community!
