Budget Public Engagement

To our valued school community,

Our school division is in the process of creating next year’s budget. We are required to produce a balanced budget to the provincial government in May. This means addressing a projected 3.5- million dollar deficit, representing a 4% reduction from this year’s operating budget. To help, we have launched an engagement called Ideas That Make Cents. The purpose of this engagement is to help the division find ways to save money and to help identify new revenue and income generation opportunities in our division. We wanted to give all of our stakeholders—including you—the opportunity to help. We are inviting you to share your thoughts and ideas with us.
