Teaching
For teaching positions, we accept applications online. Consideration is given to candidates who exhibit the qualities described in the Foothills School Division Ideal Candidate Profile.
Interested applicants are required to create an online portfolio. Please complete all sections of your portfolio before applying to a job posting, unless you are a student in your final year of your Bachelor of Education. If so, we encourage you to begin your portfolio today, and add required documents as they are made available to you.
Applicants must be eligible for Alberta Teacher Certification. When you complete your online profile, you will be asked to upload the following, (if you don’t have all the requested documents, simply upload them as they become available):
- Cover Letter
- Resume - including three work-related references that we may contact
- Practicum and/or Teaching Evaluations
- Letters of Reference from Professional Supervisor
- Transcripts
- Current Criminal Record Check (within three months)
- Alberta Teaching Certificate Number

Bus Drivers
Always wanted a corner office with a view? How about being paid to travel? Plus a company vehicle? Are you committed to safety?
We are accepting applications for CASUAL school bus driver on an on-call as-needed basis. All school bus operators work split shifts, driving approximately 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon.
As a Casual Bus Driver, you’ll be occasionally operating up to an 82 passenger vehicle in the areas of Okotoks, High River, Cayley, Blackie, Longview, Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Red Deer Lake, and Millarville.
When opportunities become available for a regular school bus driver, our casual bus drivers are invited to apply. As a regular school bus driver you can enjoy:
