2026 - 2027 School Supplies

Dear Parents and Guardians, 

As we prepare for a fantastic school year, we want to share why we occasionally request specific brands (such as Crayola crayons, Ticonderoga pencils, or Expo markers) for your child's classroom. 

We know that store-brand alternatives can be tempting, but we select specific name brands based on direct classroom experience. Here is why these items make a difference: 

• Better Value & Longevity: Certain brands, like Ticonderoga pencils, use premium wood and lead that don't constantly snap in the sharpener. This means the supplies last much longer, requiring fewer replacements throughout the year. 
• Safety & Non-Toxicity: Brands like Crayola adhere to the highest safety and non-toxic standards, which is incredibly important when young children are using art supplies daily. 
• Reliable Performance: Cheaper markers or glue often dry out quickly, leak, or fail to stick. High-quality brands ensure that classroom time is spent learning and creating, rather than dealing with faulty materials. 
• Equitable Experience: Having uniform supplies ensures that all students have access to the same quality tools, which helps prevent distractions and keeps our classroom running smoothly.

For the upcoming school year, families will be responsible for purchasing school supplies for students in Grades 1-6. Please see the supply lists below.

Kindergarten supplies will be provided by the school. A fee for these supplies will be added to your account on the Edsembli Family Portal in September.
