Bike Rodeo

On Monday, May 26, Grade 1, 2 and 3 students will participate in a Bike Rodeo put on by the Okotoks RCMP. They will cover things like pedaling and stopping safely in a straight line, how to lean into a corner, and a fun slalom course.  We will also be inspecting bikes and helmets to ensure they are safe.  

Before the students bring their bike to school, the Okotoks RCMP would like families to go over a few things so kids can be on their bikes as much as possible: 

• All students participating need to be wearing a helmet
• Check their helmet to ensure it does fit them correctly.  Below is a quick Fit Guide to see if their helmets fits or needs adjustments
• Inspect their bike before bringing it to the bike rodeo.  Check the tires have air, handlebars are tight, and seat is secure and at the correct height
