AP Entrance Exams for Grade 9 Students
ESFCHS/AHSFA have set their AP Entrance Exam dates for both AP Math and AP ELA (English) Programs.
These entrance exams are designed to be written by Grade 9 students who are interested in enrolling in our AP classes in grade 10 at Foothills Composite High School.
Please follow the quick link below to select the date you will attend ESFCHS/AHSFA to write the entrance exam (there are two choices for AP English and three choices for AP Math).
It is important that you arrive 15 minutes early for your scheduled exam time. Students who do not attend or do not pass the entrance exam will be automatically placed in math 10C and/or English 10-1.
ENTRANCE EXAM DATES:
ELA AP Entrance EXAM:
(Designed to be written in 2 hrs. – 1 hour allotted extra time)
- Friday, June 3rd: 9:00 AM -12:00 pm (FSD Junior High PD Non-Attendance Day Students)
- Thursday, June 9th: 4:00PM - 7:00 pm
MATH AP Entrance EXAM:
(Designed to be written in 1hr 30 min – 30 minutes allotted extra time)
- Friday, June 3rd 9:00 AM - 11:00 am (FSD Junior High PD Non-Attendance Day Students)
- Friday, June 3rd 1:00 PM - 3:00 pm (FSD Junior High PD Non-Attendance Day Students)
- Friday, June 10th 4:00 - 6:00 pm

The Math AP Entrance Exam is based on gr. 9 curricular content and 2 – 3 rich problems that assess mathematical thinking and reasoning skills.
As such, students may review by utilizing in-class PAT review resources and exam bank. Links below.
