Stuff the Bus is back! MyCityCare believes no student should be without the proper supplies to start out their school year on the right foot and comes alongside families that may need a hand up. Families can register at the following link: https://mycitycareoko.churchcenter.com/people/forms/905379. Pick up will be in late August prior to the school year beginning and information will be provided to registrants closer to.

If your family would like to get involved in giving back to their community through the program, you can find out more information at bit.ly/mccokogetinvolved. We will begin to accept donations in June at our various drop off locations.

What's Bugging You: an anxiety-focused group workshop

The transition from Grade 6 to Grade 7 is a major developmental milestone. As students prepare to enter junior high, they are faced with new academic expectations, unfamiliar social environments, changing routines, and increased independence. For many children, this shift can bring up feelings of worry, overwhelm, or anxiety—especially during the summer when anticipatory stress can build.

This workshop is designed to help students understand their anxiety, build practical coping tools, and grow confidence as they prepare for a new school environment. By addressing anxiety before school begins, children are better equipped to handle the pressures of junior high, build positive friendships, and start the year with a sense of emotional readiness and resilience.

Our goal is to provide a supportive space where children can learn, share, and practice skills to manage anxious thoughts and feelings—while also normalizing the transition and fostering a sense of community.

Join Stefani and Jordyn in this next chapter of your child's emotional growth!
