Westmount School to welcome Stacey Burrows as Acting Principal for the 2026-2027 school year

For the 2026-2027 school year, we are pleased to welcome Ms. Stacey Burrows as Acting Principal at Westmount School (WMS). This interim leadership role is in place as Ms. Lauren Frandle will be taking a personal leave of absence for the school year.
Joining us from Red Deer Lake School as Vice Principal, Stacey brings a depth of experience and a longstanding commitment to Foothills School Division. Having joined the division in 2002 as a teacher, Stacey has served in a variety of teaching and leadership roles across the system, demonstrating a strong dedication to student success, staff collaboration, and positive school culture.
Throughout her career, Stacey is known as a thoughtful and collaborative leader who prioritizes inclusive learning environments and strong relationships with students, families, and staff. Her cumulative experience along with her excellence in leadership within the K to 9 setting at Red Deer Lake, will surely make a positive impact at WMS.
She shares,
“As I reflect on my time at Red Deer Lake School, I am filled with deep gratitude for the opportunities I have had to learn, grow, and lead within such a remarkable community. The spirit and values of the Dragon will forever remain in my heart, along with many cherished memories.
While it is bittersweet to say goodbye for the next year, I am truly honoured and excited to begin a new chapter as Acting Principal of Westmount School in Okotoks. It is a privilege to join such a caring and engaged community of K–9 learners, families, and staff.
