Westmount Wolves

April 10, 2026

Welcome back! We hope your spring break was restful and energizing, and we’re excited to jump into a fresh start together as we head into the final stretch of the school year.

NEW INFORMATION

Learner Conferences: We are excited to welcome families to our student-led conferences next Tuesday (3:45 – 6:45) and Thursday (3:45 – 6:15). These conferences give students a chance to take ownership of their learning and proudly share their growth, goals, and leadership with you. We hope you’ll join us to celebrate their hard work and the meaningful learning happening every day at Westmount School. Be sure to sign up for your 30-minute timeslot here: https://outlook.office.com/book/April2026StudentLedConferences@FSD365.onmicrosoft.com/?ismsaljsauthenabled

April 17 Professional Learning Day: A reminder to our families that there is NO SCHOOL next Friday, April 17th. Teachers will attend learning sessions focused on understanding the emotional roots of student behavior and strategies for supporting resilience and positive change.

Junior High Sailing: On April 20th, some of our Westmount students will attend The Bluewater Adventure Sailing Expedition, which offers students a unique, hands‑on learning experience aboard a live‑aboard sailing vessel, where they participate in real marine navigation, wildlife observation, and environmental education led by trained crew and naturalists. This multi‑day journey through the remote coastal wilderness of British Columbia immerses students in ecology, teamwork, and outdoor leadership in a safe, structured, and stunning setting. A huge thank you to Mr. Kotowich and Mrs. Wooldridge for planning and supervising what is sure to be an unforgettable educational opportunity!

Planning for 2026-2027: Thank you so much to all of our families for responding to our survey. We appreciate you sharing your plans for next year to help us plan for the next school year. If you have not yet completed this survey, please take a moment to fill it out here: Westmount School 2026-2027 Intent Form – Fill out form. We meet with Division Office in the next two weeks to determine staffing allocations – up-to-date numbers help us to advocate for enough teachers to keep class sizes reasonable.

Upcoming Important Dates:

  • April 14/16: Student-Led Conferences
  • April 15: Grade 3 Field Trip to Aggie Days
  • April 17th: FSD PD Day (NO SCHOOL)
