December is here, bringing festive community gatherings and exciting school activities for families to enjoy. Please stay connected with us as we highlight the events that make this season special.

School Retakes: Picture retakes are on Tuesday, December 9th.
Scholastic Book Fair: The book fair takes place from December 4th to 11th in the Learning Commons. Students will shop the book fair during their scheduled library classes or recess. Additionally, the book fair will be open until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 10th and Thursday, December 11th to allow families to shop prior to the Christmas concerts. Christmas Concerts: A letter was sent home yesterday with detailed information about next week’s special community events. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to know—concert attire, arrival times, rehearsals, family photos, door times, and more. Please take a moment to review it so you’re fully prepared. We’re excited to welcome our families back and look forward to celebrating together next week!
Cold & Flu Season: Please be aware that cold and flu season is upon us. We kindly ask that children stay at home to rest and recover from their illness and join us back at school when they are symptom-free. For more information about the Foothills School Division policy related to illness, please review AP 161.
REMINDERS and UPDATES
Parent-Teacher Interviews: Thank you so much for joining us to celebrate your student’s progress during Parent-Teacher interviews this week. It was wonderful to see everyone and connect with our families.
Westmount Craft Fair: Thank you so much for participating in our Westmount School Craft Fair on Friday afternoon. We appreciate seeing members of our community supporting our artisans and creators. We will share the total amount raised for Rowan House next week.
Christmas Concerts: Kindergarten to Grade 3 on Wednesday, December 10th. Grades 4 to 6 and band on Thursday, December 11th at 6:15.
Magic of Christmas Holiday Charity: Thank you to our families who have donated a variety of toys and games to support The Magic of Christmas charity. We will accept donations in the main office through to December 12th.
Hot Lunch: Next week, OPA is our hot lunch. Please ensure your orders are in by Saturday (December 6). Link to order: https://healthyhunger.ca/index.php.
