FSD to welcome Taylor Keith as Vice Principal at École Secondaire Highwood High School in Fall 2026

Foothills School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Taylor Keith as Vice-Principal at École Secondaire Highwood High School, effective August 21, 2026.

Taylor is a relational, student-centered educational leader. She is currently serving as Vice-Principal in a large middle school of approximately 650 students, where she provides leadership grounded in care, connection, and curiosity.

In her current role, Taylor supports a range of portfolios including instructional leadership, numeracy, inclusion, wellness, athletics, timetabling, and school-wide systems. She leads collaborative teams, supervises and evaluates teaching and support staff, coordinates complex school operations, and works closely with families and external agencies to support individual student needs. Her leadership is informed by a systems lens and a strong commitment to belonging, voice, and shared responsibility for student success.

As an advocate for co-curricular and extracurricular programming, Taylor has served as Athletic Director and as a member of district committees, recognizing the important role that athletics and student leadership opportunities play in strengthening school culture, engagement, and community connection. She has led professional learning related to new curriculum implementation, outcome-based assessment, executive functioning strategies, and numeracy instruction.

Taylor has a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Lethbridge, as well as a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Science. She holds her the Alberta Leadership Quality Standard (LQS) Certification.

As she prepares to join the team at Highwood Taylor shares the following: “I am very excited and honoured for the opportunity to join École Secondaire Highwood High School.
