You will be required to provide proof of your child’s name, date of birth, and citizenship. The following documents are accepted:
- Birth certificate
- Canadian citizenship certificate
- Passport
- Baptismal certificate
- Court Order
- Information confirming your home address

Big Rock School is pleased to offer both Full-Time (Pilot Program to be determined for 2023-2024 school year) and Part-Time Kindergarten
Student Age Requirement
Children must turn five years of age by the last day of December of the year the child begins kindergarten.
While Kindergarten is an optional program, a child MUST start school if they are six years old as of September 1. Each of our schools offering elementary programming hold information sessions for parents in late winter or spring. Check with your designated school for more information.
2024-2025: Part Time Kindergarten Program
The 2023-2024 Part Time Kindergarten Program runs two days a week and alternating Fridays. Dates TBD based on enrollment.
2024-2025: Full Time Kindergarten Program

FSD is implementing an optional Early Learning Program, where kindergarten students can attend 5 full days of school each week; this program is in addition to our current half-time program. Cost for the Full-time program: *$250 per month from September to June ($2,500 total for the year) *Cost is subject to change as this is the 2022-2023 rate for the full-time program
