FSD to welcome Sébastien Fournier as Interim Vice Principal at École Percy Pegler School

Foothills School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Sébastien Fournier as Interim Vice Principal at École Percy Pegler School, effective mid-October.
While new to FSD, Sébastien brings extensive experience in educational leadership and classroom instruction to this role. His career includes service as a Principal, Assistant Principal, Learning Leader, and teacher with the Calgary Board of Education, providing a broad foundation for supporting students, staff, and families.
Since joining the Calgary Board of Education in 2004, Sébastien has worked across kindergarten to Grade 12 settings. His earlier teaching experience includes roles with Conseil scolaire FrancoSud and the Calgary Catholic School District. Fluent in both French and English, he brings language skills and experience relevant to the French Immersion learning community at École Percy Pegler School.
Alongside his school-based work, Sébastien served as a sessional instructor in the University of Calgary’s Master of Education program from 2017 to 2024. This experience complements his leadership background and provides an additional perspective on educator learning and professional growth.
Sébastien holds a master’s degree in School Administration from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Education with a major in French Literature and a minor in Geography from L'Université du Québec à Rimouski. His combination of educational preparation, instructional experience, and school leadership provides a strong foundation for this interim appointment.
In his new role, Sébastien will work alongside Ms. Rona Reid and the ÉPPS school team to support student learning, staff well-being, and positive connections with families and the wider school community.
