Lauren Frandle appointed Vice-Principal, Meadow Ridge School
Foothills School Division is pleased to announce that Ms. Lauren Frandle will move into a new leadership opportunity as Vice-Principal of Meadow Ridge School (MRS) effective January 9, 2023.
As an accomplished teacher and school leader, Ms. Frandle brings demonstrated strengths in K-9 instructional leadership, effective relationships and communication, and the capacity to work with staff and families to collaboratively support students with diverse learning needs. These strengths will complement the existing team at Meadow Ridge School. Lauren joined Foothills School Division in 2005 as a Teacher at Dr. Morris Gibson (DMG) School and in 2012 she became the Vice-Principal at DMG. In 2013 Lauren transferred as Vice-Principal to Heritage Heights School.
In addition to her school leadership experience, Ms. Frandle also served as the professional development Learning Coordinator for Learning Commons as the Division transitioned from Libraries to Learning Commons which focused on inclusive, flexible, learner-centred, spaces for collaboration, inquiry, imagination and play to expand and deepen learning.
Lauren holds a Master of Education (Literacy) from the University of Lethbridge, a Certificate in Advanced Leadership Program -- National Excellence in School Leadership Initiative, A Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge, and a Bachelor of Arts (English and Canadian History) from the University of Calgary. Ms. Frandle was granted her Alberta Leadership Certificate in 2019.
As she prepares to join the team at Meadow Ridge Lauren shares, “It has been an honour and a privilege to work alongside exceptional staff, students, and parents at Heritage Heights. I will be eternally grateful for the opportunities, challenges, and learning experiences provided to me along the way, but most importantly for the wonderful relationships I have developed over the past ten years.
I am very excited to join the team at Meadow Ridge and work collaboratively to create opportunities for students to explore, learn and grow. I am looking forward to the opportunity to be part of the strong culture of Meadow Ridge that empowers and engages students, staff, and families."
