Cell Phone Policy

To maximize learning and responsible use of technology, cell phones remain in lockers during learning time.  Elementary students are expected to keep their phones in their backpacks for the day as we want them to socialize with peers during recess and breaks.  For Junior High, we offer cell phone breaks during morning breaks, lunch and after break time.  At times, teachers will ask junior high students to bring phones to class for instructional purposes.  Some teachers have a ‘cell phone’ hotel where students may be asked to put their phones in. We ask for your support to not text or call your child during instructional time.  If there is an emergency, and you need to contact your child, please call the office first.  This way we can have supports in place should your child be upset by the news of the emergency.
