A monthly connection to news and stories from Foothills School Division. Important dates
Belonging, choice, and student success in high schoolChoosing a high school is about more than programs and buildings—it’s about finding a place where students feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow into who they are meant to be. Across Foothills School Division, students are experiencing that sense of belonging in different ways, with a shared result: confidence, connection, and readiness for what comes next. From flexible learning pathways and the arts to academics, career preparation, and trades training, FSD offers a wide range of opportunities to support every learner’s journey. Read more and hear directly from our high school students about belonging, choice, and student success on our website. ![]() Ideas that Make Cents: 2026–2027 budget prioritiesWe’re planning responsibly for the future—and we need your input. Footnotes April 2026
A Shared Commitment to Safety
As the school year moves into April, the Board of Trustees continues to reflect on its priorities and areas of focus. Exhibited in recent governance work, school and student safety remains an important and consistent area of attention. While safety is continuously assessed and addressed by the Division, it is further strengthened through ongoing reflection, collaboration, and alignment with provincial direction.
Our Commitment to Safety
Creating safe, welcoming, caring, and respectful learning environments is a shared responsibility at Foothills School Division. We work closely with schools, parents, community partners, local RCMP detachments, and emergency services to support safe learning facilities and worksites across our communities.
