Terry Fox Walk and Kolton's Run

We will be hosting our Terry Fox Walk and Kolton's Run on Friday, September 20.

Our elementary students will be participating in their walk starting at 2:15pm. We are looking for some volunteers to supervisor the crosswalks on our route. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Mrs Sitko. If you are not able to volunteer but would still like to join your child for the walk, please feel free to meet up with your child's class at 2:10pm behind the school by the playground. Students are invited to bring in a donation for the Terry Fox Foundation which can be turned into their teacher.

Our junior high students will be participating the Kolton's Run, a 2-3 km course using local trails as part of their cross country unit in gym. We are honouring this day as we reach out as a community to support the Byerley family who has been impacted by cancer. We are sensitive to the fact that he is not the only one from our pack that has been impacted by cancer; but as a graduate of Westmount that many students know, we wanted to show our support for him.  Parents are encouraged to come support the day as a volunteer or come join us for the run which will take place that afternoon. Student are invited to bring in a donation that they will give to their homeroom teacher. When they turn the donation in they can specify if they would like the donation to go to the Byerley family or the Terry Fox Foundation.
