Allison Stewart appointed Vice-Principal at Turner Valley School

Foothills School Division is pleased to announce the following School Leadership appointment for the 2023-2024 School Year 

We are pleased to share that Ms. Allison Stewart has been appointed Vice-Principal of Turner Valley School effective August 26, 2023.  


Ms. Stewart brings recent leadership experience to her assignment at TVS, having served as Acting Vice-Principal at École Percy Pegler School this year. Allison joined the division in 2008 at Dr. Morris Gibson School. During her tenure at DMG, Ms. Stewart has been a member of numerous school leadership and professional development teams. Allison is also a member of the 2021/2022 FSD Learning and Leading cohort. 


Ms. Stewart is an accomplished teacher who models quality instructional practice, commits to ongoing professional learning, and brings a servant leadership ethos to her collaboration with school teams.  


Allison holds her Bachelor of Education from the University of Winnipeg and her Master of Education (Leadership) from Gonzaga University. She completed her Leadership Quality Standard certificate in June 2022.  


As she sets to join the Turner Valley team, Allison shares, "I am excited to join the team at Turner Valley School as Vice-Principal for the 2023-2024 school year! I have heard many great things about the school and look forward to learning about the programs that make Turner Valley School a great place to learn and grow as a Tiger. I would also like to thank the staff and families at École Percy Pegler School for all the great memories that each of you helped create over my first year as an administrator. I will miss everyone at EPPS, but I also look forward to the new relationships I will make as I settle into Turner Valley School." 


Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Chris Fuzessy provides, "We are happy to announce that Ms. Allison Stewart will be joining the team at Turner Valley School as Vice-Principal at the beginning of the next school year. Ms. Stewart’s knowledge and experience in designing high-quality and engaging learning, her commitment to building true community throughout the school as well as with parents and supporting students to achieve success will be great assets to the Turner Valley School community.
