Heritage Heights debate team shines

Heritage Heights is proud to highlight the school’s competitive debate team. Over the recent February break, our talented team represented the school by competing in two different tournaments, showcasing their dedication, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. Their commitment and hard work throughout the season truly paid off, and we are incredibly proud of their achievements. 

The debate team is a group of students who engage in structured discussions on various topics, learning to research, form arguments, and respectfully challenge opposing viewpoints. Through debate, students develop communication, analytical, and collaborative skills that foster deeper understanding and adaptability.

These abilities contribute to "learning that transfers" by helping students apply critical thinking and problem-solving strategies across academic subjects and real-world situations. The experience gained in debate equips participants with lifelong skills that extend far beyond the classroom, supporting their growth as thoughtful, confident leaders.
