Sarah Clark appointed Assistant Superintendent, Employee Services & Education Partner Relations

Foothills School Division is delighted to share that Ms. Sarah Clark has been appointed as the Assistant Superintendent of Employee Services and Education Partner Relations, effective May 1, 2026.
With her extensive and varied experience in both school and system-level K-12 education, Ms. Clark is exceptionally well-equipped to contribute to the senior leadership team with Foothills School Division. Her proven expertise and dedication make her a valuable addition to our leadership team.
Ms. Clark’s career has been marked by a wide range of teaching and leadership experiences across two school authorities, preparing her well for this new role. She began her tenure with Foothills School Division in 2012 as Vice Principal of École Joe Clark School, following her impactful work as an Intensive French lead teacher with Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools. In 2015, Ms. Clark transitioned to Division Principal, where she oversaw Language Services, and was soon after appointed Principal of Outreach Programming, Summer School, and Colony Schools from 2015 to 2018. Her leadership continued as Principal at École Joe Clark School starting in August 2018, before she moved into her current position as Principal at Dr. Morris Gibson School in 2023.
Sarah is a life-long learner and holds a Master of Education from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Education from St. Thomas University, and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Thomas University. She was recently accepted into an Education PhD program at the University of Lethbridge beginning in July 2026. Sarah’s study and research focus will be on distributed leadership in education.
In addition to her school leadership experience, Sarah is an accomplished teacher and has diverse instructional practice in Language Learning programs, early literacy and numeracy acquisition, high school programming and post-secondary instruction where she served as an instructor and practicum supervisor at King’s University in Edmonton.
