Distinguished Leadership Awards

Congratulations to Jeff Mason, Principal of Cameron Crossing School and Bobbi Hunter, Principal of Dr. Morris Gibson School and Hub@Home 2020/2021.

Foothills School Division is pleased to announce that Jeff Mason and Bobbi Hunter were nominated for the 2020/2021 Distinguished Leadership Award presented by the Council for School Leadership of the Alberta Teachers' Association.

On June 15, 2021 The Council for School Leadership announced the recipients and we learned that both Mr. Mason and Ms. Hunter were named as award recipients! 

Mr. Mason has been the Principal of Cameron Crossing School since 2017. His leadership excellence is ensuring positive outcomes for students through our Regional Alternative High School that focuses on supporting learners that require specialized and flexible programming in order to meet their diverse social and emotional needs. Jeff demonstrates excellence in all Leadership Quality Standards and competencies in this role. 

Ms. Hunter has been a School Leader within the Dr. Morris Gibson School community since 2015 and Principal beginning in 2019. This school year Bobbi also assumed Principalship of our K-9 Hub@Home and successfully supported quality learning in FSD’s first online offering for students at those grade levels. Ms. Hunter competently demonstrates leadership excellence in all areas of the Leadership Quality Standard in her role supporting the DMG and Hub@Home communities. 

The Board of Trustees celebrated both Mr. Mason’s and Ms. Hunter’s recognition for the Distinguished Leadership Awards.
